Vaccination is the best protection we have against the H1N1 flu. It is possible to have H1N1 flu vaccine in our private clinic in Keskusta! Diacor occupational health care customers can be vaccinated starting from

Monday to Friday 13.00 -18.00 p.m. without appointments. Before vaccination, please, make sure that it belongs to your company’s occupational health care agreement. Unfortunately we cannot vaccine your family members or private patients. Only customers working in a company with an agreement about these vaccinations with Diacor can be vaccinated.

The vaccine is not suitable for people who have an anaphylactic reaction (severe allergic reaction) to egg. If you are allergic to egg, please discuss with your occupational health care nurse, nurse or physician about it.

The most common side-effects after vaccination are local reactions (redness, warmth, swelling or tenderness) where the injection was given. Some people may also have fever, headache, muscle aches and joint pains. These general symptoms can be treated with normal flu medication.

Price for the H1N1 flu is 17 euros. More information: occupational health nurse or physician.

The influenza A(H1N1) is being actively monitored

Based on the instructions provided by the authorities, Diacor has established its own operating instructions and Diacor’s physicians and other staff will be informed of any changes to them. We have prepared for the flue by seeing to it that we have a sufficient number of occupational healthcare nurses answering the phones and that they will always be able to consult the occupational healthcare physician. According to the current guidelines, the on-duty occupational healthcare nurse is empowered to issue sick leave of five days at maximum by phone assuming that the customer company (employer) accepts this.

Each Diacor medical centre has the readiness to receive patients afflicted by the H1N1. It is hoped that the patients will contact Diacor by phone (7750 800) to arrange appointment times in advance. It is recommended that patients come for treatment either by private car or taxi. On arrival in medical centre lobby, patients are asked to immediately contact Diacor staff to be provided with a respirator and to be guided to the waiting room. Our policy is to avoid handshaking during the epidemic. The medical centres have hand-wash dispensers available in the treatment rooms, at the reception desk, and in the waiting rooms.

We recommend that these patients should not be allowed to enter the employer companies’ reception facilities as it is difficult to arrange sufficient isolation facilities in those conditions.
