Our examination units are comprehensive and include nearly all the necessary examination and intervention possibilities. We renew our equipment on a continual basis and so it represents the latest available technology. Examinations using magnetic imaging technology Our magnetism unit was established in 1998. Since then the unit has attained a national reputation thanks to its efficient equipment. It was totally refurbished in 2008 with Siemens Magnetom Verio 3T. As a result, the precision and speed of imaging was considerably improved. X-ray examinations Diacor’s selection of examinations at the x-ray units operating at the various medical centres varies from the native examinations at small medical centres to the versatile examination offering of the bigger medical centres. Diacor’s Keskusta (Downtown) Medical Centre is equipped with bone density measurement equipment. Diacor has switched over from conventional imaging to non-film plate imaging, and the images are saved in a digital image archive. Clinical physiology examinations Clinical physiology examinations are comprehensive and include various examinations related to the functioning of the organs, e.g. examinations looking into the functioning of the heart and lungs, and the neuro-physiological (EMG, ENMG, EEG) examinations. A lot of examinations are conducted at the Alppikatu and Itäkeskus Medical Centres, and less so at the other medical centres.
